Deshawn Stevenson Game Issued 2011-12 New Jersey Nets Jersey

This white adidas home jersey was prepared for DeShawn Stevenson during the New Jersey Nets’ 2011–12 NBA season. It features Stevenson’s surname and number 92 in navy, silver and red multi-layer twill, together with the traditional “NETS” wordmark across the chest. The front also carries the embroidered NBA logo and the commemorative “Nets 35 Years” patch marking the franchise’s history in New Jersey. The manufacturer tagging identifies the jersey as a size 2XL with an additional two inches of body length. A unique serial-numbered NBA inventory tag is attached beside the main adidas label, supporting its identification as a player-issued team garment rather than a retail replica. The reverse has been signed by DeShawn Stevenson and inscribed with his number 92. Although Stevenson was known to use two jerseys per game, no conclusive photographic or provenance evidence currently establishes that this particular example was worn on court. It is therefore conservatively classified as game issued.

The 2011–12 season marked the end of an era for the Nets franchise. It was the team’s final season competing under the New Jersey Nets identity before relocating to Brooklyn and becoming the Brooklyn Nets for the 2012–13 season. As a result, this jersey represents the final white home-uniform design worn during the franchise’s years in New Jersey. DeShawn Stevenson joined the Nets for that historically significant final campaign and wore number 92. Known for his defensive intensity and distinctive personality, Stevenson arrived in New Jersey after winning the 2011 NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks. Stevenson was also known to use two jerseys during a game, typically creating more than one player-prepared example for an individual fixture. However, without a direct photomatch, documented game attribution or other definitive evidence of on-court use, this particular jersey remains classified as game issued rather than game worn. Its player-specific size and length, serial-numbered NBA inventory tag, professional lettering, commemorative 35th-anniversary patch and Stevenson’s autograph distinguish it as an authentic player-prepared garment. Beyond its connection to Stevenson, the jersey preserves a transitional moment in NBA history: the conclusion of the New Jersey Nets era immediately before the franchise’s move to Brooklyn.
