Front Number “17” Detail

This comparison set focuses on the screen-printed front number “17” on the navy side of Dennis Schröder’s 2014 Atlanta Hawks Summer League jersey. The numerals “1” and “7” were compared with the in-game reference imagery for correspondence in their overall shape, printed edge contours, proportions, spacing and relative alignment on the jersey body.

Particular attention was given to localized irregularities within the red and white printed layers, including variations along the numeral edges, subtle surface deformations and the positioning of each digit in relation to the surrounding fabric structure. The autograph later added to the number “1” was not considered part of the photomatch examination because it was applied after the documented game use.

Photomatch Summary

Assessment

The examined Dennis Schröder jersey was compared with in-game photographs from the Atlanta Hawks’ NBA Summer League game against the Houston Rockets on July 19, 2014. The comparison focused on the screen-printed front number “17” displayed on the navy side of the reversible jersey. Five corresponding characteristics were identified within the white printed outlines of the numerals. Four match points are located along the right edge of the number “1,” including a localized indentation, a rounded central bulge and two additional outward projections in the lower portion of the vertical stem. A fifth corresponding bulge is visible along the lower right diagonal edge of the number “7.” The position, shape, orientation and relative spacing of these independently formed printing irregularities remain consistent between the examined jersey and the in-game imagery. Their combined agreement extends beyond the standard design of the numerals and reflects characteristics specific to the individual screen-printed application. No material contradiction was identified within the visible comparison areas. The collective correspondence of all five print-based identifiers supports the conclusion that the examined jersey is the same individual garment worn by Dennis Schröder against the Houston Rockets on July 19, 2014.
Methodology

Comparison Method

The examination was conducted through a detailed side-by-side visual comparison of the examined jersey and in-game photographs showing Dennis Schröder during the Atlanta Hawks’ NBA Summer League game against the Houston Rockets on July 19, 2014. The analysis focused on the front number “17” applied to the navy side of the reversible jersey. Because the numerals are screen-printed rather than constructed from sewn twill, the comparison concentrated on irregularities created during the printing and application process. The red numeral interiors and surrounding white outlines were examined for correspondence in overall shape, proportions, edge contours, spacing, alignment and localized deformations. Five independent comparison points were documented. Four were identified along the right edge of the number “1,” where the white printed border exhibits corresponding indentations, rounded bulges and outward projections at distinct relative heights. A fifth point was identified along the lower right diagonal edge of the number “7,” where the white outline forms a corresponding localized outward bulge. Each feature was evaluated according to its precise position, contour, orientation and relationship to the surrounding numeral structure. Differences in image resolution, viewing angle, lighting, fabric curvature, garment tension and player movement were considered when assessing apparent variations between the images. The autograph later applied to the number “1” was excluded from the photomatch analysis because it was added after the documented game use. The conclusion was based solely on the combined agreement of the original screen-printed construction characteristics. No conflicting feature was observed within the photographically visible comparison areas.
