Hrvoje Kovačević Game Issued Hamburg Towers Error Jersey

Original 2017–18 Hamburg Towers game-issued black away jersey prepared for Hrvoje Kovačević (#9) during the club's ProA campaign. Manufactured by K1X Hardwood in size XL, the jersey features the Hamburg Towers crest, German flag patch, official 2. Basketball Bundesliga patch, and the "MORE THAN BASKETBALL" slogan. The back displays "KOVACEVIC" above the number 9, together with the edel-optics.de sponsor logo. The jersey is documented as an error jersey, featuring visibly deteriorated and irregular white number graphics. A handwritten "G.I." inscription on the back number identifies the jersey as Game Issued. Although prepared for Kovačević, no photographic evidence has been identified confirming that this particular black jersey was worn during a game. Classification: Game Issued – Error Jersey.

During the 2017–18 season, the Hamburg Towers competed in Germany's second-tier ProA league, with Croatian player Hrvoje Kovačević representing the club wearing number 9. This black K1X Hardwood away jersey was prepared for Kovačević and features the Hamburg Towers crest, German flag patch, official league branding, and the club's "MORE THAN BASKETBALL" slogan. The jersey is particularly interesting because of its unusual number graphics, which show significant deterioration and irregularities in the white lettering material. A handwritten "G.I." marking on the back number identifies the jersey as Game Issued. The PhotoMatchForensics collection also includes a white Kovačević jersey featuring the German flag patch. A portrait photograph published in a Hamburg Towers Gameday magazine shows Kovačević wearing a white jersey with this distinctive configuration. However, the portrait photograph does not establish an individual photomatch to the white jersey in the collection, nor does it confirm game use. Similarly, no photographic evidence has yet been identified showing Kovačević wearing this particular black away jersey during an official game. For PhotoMatchForensics, these jerseys provide an interesting opportunity to document and compare unusual uniform variations from the Hamburg Towers' ProA era while maintaining a clear distinction between photographic references, player-issued equipment, and independently verified game use.
