Bazoumana Koné Game Worn Braunschweig Löwen Jersey

This black Basketball Löwen Braunschweig jersey was game-worn by German-Ivorian guard Bazoumana Koné during the 2020–21 easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga season. Manufactured by Macron, the jersey features a black performance fabric construction with gold side panels and black-and-gold trim around the V-neck and arm openings. The front displays the official easyCredit BBL patch, Macron branding, the circular Basketball Löwen Braunschweig crest and Koné’s gold number 1. The sponsor graphics include Öffentliche and Volkswagen Financial Services Rent-a-Car. The reverse carries the name “KONÉ” and number 1 in metallic gold. Above the name is the team slogan “#JUNGWILDHUNGRIG,” while the lower section incorporates a large white lion graphic and the word “BRAUNSCHWEIG” in gold. Koné personally signed the back number in black marker and added his uniform number, providing an additional player-specific characteristic. The jersey was auctioned directly through the official Basketball Löwen Braunschweig account. The founder of PhotoMatchForensics participated in the auction and submitted the winning bid. Its direct team provenance, confirmed game-worn status and player signature make it a well-documented artifact from Koné’s 2020–21 season in Braunschweig.

The 2020–21 season represented Bazoumana Koné’s return to Basketball Löwen Braunschweig. The Hamburg-born, 1.93-metre guard had already been closely connected to Braunschweig from the beginning of his career. During the 2010–11 season, he played for the organization’s NBBL team alongside future NBA players Dennis Schröder and Daniel Theis. He later returned to the Löwen for the 2017–18 and 2018–19 campaigns before rejoining the club on a one-year contract in the summer of 2020. Known for his speed, aggressive drives and ability to play both guard positions, Koné brought Bundesliga experience and energy to a young Braunschweig roster coached by Pete Strobl. His season was significantly affected by injuries, limiting him to nine BBL appearances. Nevertheless, he averaged 7.8 points per game and produced a season-high 21 points against SYNTAINICS MBC on January 14, 2021. Braunschweig completed the pandemic-affected season in ninth place with a 16–18 record, narrowly missing the playoffs by one victory. The young Löwen finished the campaign with six consecutive wins, the team’s longest winning streak of the season, underlining the development and competitive potential of the squad. Koné also has an important connection to the Hamburg Towers. He represented his hometown club from 2014 to 2016 and was part of the Towers during their formative ProA years. Having joined for the organization’s inaugural professional season, he contributed to the establishment of the newly created team and its immediate emergence as a competitive force in Hamburg basketball. His later appearance for Braunschweig against the Towers connected two important chapters of his career: the club from his hometown and the organization where he had developed as a young player. Following the 2020–21 season, Basketball Löwen Braunschweig officially announced Koné’s departure. His number 1 jersey was subsequently offered through an auction held by the team’s official account. The founder of PhotoMatchForensics placed the winning bid and acquired the jersey directly through this club-organized sale. The jersey therefore combines documented game use, an autograph, direct team provenance and a meaningful link between Braunschweig and Hamburg. It represents a season shaped by pandemic conditions, Koné’s return to one of his formative clubs and the continuation of a professional career closely connected to northern German basketball.
