Evidence Description
This detailed player inscription appears directly on the front of Will Barnes’ SC Rist Wedel jersey from the 2016–17 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProB season.
Barnes personally inscribed the garment with the words “Game Worn Jersey” and documented its period of use as “02-OCT-16 – 11-DEC-16.” He also recorded his performance against the Rostock Seawolves with the inscription “25 pts + 4 ast vs Rostock 02-OCT-16.” The statement is completed by Barnes’ signature and his player number “#44.”
The inscription provides direct first-person confirmation from Barnes that the jersey was game-worn between October 2 and December 11, 2016. It also connects the garment to his 25-point, four-assist performance during Rist Wedel’s 97–72 victory over Rostock on October 2.
The jersey was personally transferred by Barnes to the founder of PhotoMatchForensics immediately following Rist Wedel’s 83–73 victory over the Herzöge Wolfenbüttel on December 11, 2016. This direct post-game acquisition establishes an uninterrupted chain of custody from the player to the present collection.
The combination of the contemporaneous inscription, player signature, documented statistical reference and direct personal transfer provides strong provenance supporting the jersey’s game-worn classification.
